Projects
Eight things still under construction.
Projects are in development. Products are live. Keeping those apart is the point of having two pages, because a roadmap presented as a product is how trust gets spent.

2042 Books
A fiction trilogy written to carry the long view that a website cannot.
Begun in November 2025. The argument underneath it is the one this whole network runs on: the future is not a single thing arriving. There is a utopian version and a dystopian one, both are reachable from here, and we still have agency over which one we get.
Each book pairs historical fiction in the manner of James Michener with a future cast forward to 2042, and then spends its length on the part that actually matters, which is what happened in between to make that the future that arrived.
Book one comes with a conceit, and it is more fun knowing it is one. It is published under the name Ada Arcadian, a woman who lived from 1903 to 1993 and who, in the story, worked out the Changemaker Flywheel decades before anybody had a use for it. Her manuscript is found in 2025 by her niece Jean Arcadian, who prepares it for publication and is then provoked into writing the two sequels herself.
Book two is the global sequel. Book three is place-based, set in the Goulburn Valley in Victoria. The works have also thrown off a series of essays imagining issues affecting our future.
Book one is here as a draft, deliberately. Publishing it unfinished is the point: read it, tell us what lands and what does not, and it goes into a revision round shaped by what comes back. After that it becomes a finished title. Serialising it comes later, once there are enough people reading for a serial to be worth the name.
A book about futures that get decided collectively seemed like a poor candidate for being written entirely in private. Book three is readable too, as it is being written. Take either of them. No sign-up, no email address, no form in the way.

2042 Visions
Imagine and publish a positive future for the place you actually live.
A platform using the format and the inspiration of the trilogy. Not only as writing, which is why it is not called 2042 Books: audio and video count just as much.
The premise is that imagining a future is part of building it. A striking amount of what Star Trek put on screen turned up decades later as real hardware, and it is at least arguable that some of it arrived because somebody had already seen it and wanted it to exist. A shared vision gives people something to walk towards. A place with no picture of its own good future tends to end up living in somebody else's.
Contributors will be asked to declare how much AI helped. Not to discourage it, but because a reader deserves to know which part of the imagining was human. We hold ourselves to the same standard: every concept and theme in the 2042 trilogy is human-generated, and the prose was written with ChatGPT and Claude as thought partners.
- What you publish
- A positive future for your own place. Written, spoken or filmed
- Why
- A vision that gets shared is one people can act towards
- The rule
- Declare what the AI did. We declare ours.

Listening Project
A time-bounded civic experiment, piloting in the Goulburn Valley.
Not a campaign, not a movement and not an organisation. Volunteers called Listeners have a small number of conversations and ask three questions. What feels hardest right now, personally or as a community. What would you most like to change. What is working that you would want to protect.
Listeners do not argue, persuade, correct or recruit. No debate, no rebuttal, no solutions offered. That is the whole method, and it turns out to be disarming precisely because it has become so rare.
What comes out is a citizen-generated report, published ahead of the Victorian state election and given to every party and candidate, to local government and to the media. It separates what people want protected from what they want changed, and names where there is broad agreement across difference. Everyone who contributed is invited to read it.
The design takes consent seriously: a private register so nobody is approached twice, a permanent opt-out, anonymised reporting, Listeners who are identifiable and accountable, and a way to check your response was recorded as you meant it.
- Pilot
- The Goulburn Valley, Victoria. Designed to scale local, state and federal
- The method
- Three questions, asked properly, with nothing sold afterwards
- The output
- A citizen report to every party and candidate
- How it spreads
- Federation, not centralisation. Each region owns its data and its report

Singularity Is Now
Our thought leadership blog, on Substack.
It explores what it takes to prepare for an exponential future as artificial intelligence takes its steps towards general intelligence, and then past it.
Less about the technology than about the interval we are standing in. What is worth building now, what stops being worth building, what a small organisation can suddenly attempt, and what none of it changes about the reasons people do this work at all.
It is published under the name Jean Arcadian, and the byline is the point. Every piece is a collaboration between people in our network and the AI they think with. Putting one name on it that belongs to neither of them is more honest than pretending either wrote it alone, and it is the same standard we ask of contributors to 2042 Visions.

Ideas Vault
Open source ideas and plans for the wicked problems society and the planet are facing.
Not pitches and not proposals: ideas worked through in enough detail that somebody else could pick one up and build it.
Ideas are powerful, and most of them never leave the person who had them. Plenty are never said out loud at all. The ones that are usually get mentioned once, in a room, and then disappear because there was nowhere to put them. That is an enormous amount of thinking, lost by default, every week.
Open source is the whole point. An idea published properly can be considered, argued with, improved and then implemented by people the author will never meet, in places they have never been. Wicked problems are not solved by one clever answer arriving fully formed. They get worn down by a lot of people trying variations of the same good idea.
The structure already exists and works. The 10P Operating System captures problems, possibilities and plans into vaults for a single organisation. The Ideas Vault is that same mechanism turned outward, so a vault can belong to a place, a field, or anyone with something worth writing down.
There is a working prototype on the food waste site. The Food Waste Vaults are the first one running: browse what is in there, or add a problem, an idea or a plan yourself. It is deliberately narrow, because one topic with real contributions in it is worth more than an empty vault for everything. Everything is read by a moderator before it appears, and the shape of it will change once enough people have used it to show us what is wrong with it.
- What it holds
- Problems, possibilities, opportunities and plans, one card at a time
- Open source
- Take an idea, improve it, build it. No permission required.
- The problem it fixes
- Most good ideas die in the head that had them
- Where it comes from
- The vaults in the 10P OS, opened up beyond one organisation

Earthshots
Gathering the good news from ambitious environmental work.
Stories, news and projects, filed by solution type and by place so they can feed straight into the Climateers network.
The name is the argument. A moonshot is a goal set before anybody knows how to reach it, and it gets reached because enough people decide it is worth trying. An earthshot is the same bet made about this planet. Most of that work is already happening. It is just not being reported anywhere the next person can find it.
Community partners submit content they have already approved. That matters in both directions. They keep control of how their own work is described, and every solution page and every place page on the network gets real, current, local examples instead of something written in an office far away. Two digests will carry it beyond the network, at Earthshotstories.com and Earthshotnews.com.
There is a working prototype on the food waste site. Every piece is submitted by an accredited community partner, credits the partner who brought it, and is read by a moderator before it appears. Where a partner holds the rights, the piece reads in full. Where they do not, the tile carries our own words and sends you to the original, credited, rather than reproducing somebody else's reporting under our name.
- What it gathers
- Good news, news and projects from ambitious environmental work
- How it is filed
- By solution type and by place, the same two axes as the network
- Who submits
- Community partners, publishing content they have already approved
- Other people's work
- Reproduced only where we hold the rights. Otherwise the tile credits and links to the original.

ISOReadyTrades
The ISO Ready offer from Augmented Teams, explained in the language of each Australian trade.
Certification gets sold as one thing, and it is not one thing. What an electrician has to document is not what a plumber has to document, and a fire contractor's evidence looks different again. A generic page about ISO 9001 leaves every one of them to do that translation themselves, and most stop well before the end of it.
The site is therefore a page per trade, each written for that trade: what the standard asks for in that work, what the paperwork actually looks like, and what the Augmented Teams approach changes about the time and the cost of getting there.
Several of these trades are the ones doing the electrification work. Solar and battery, heat pumps, HVAC and waste management contractors are climate trades whether or not they describe themselves that way, and certification is often what stands between them and the larger jobs. Making that easier is a small lever, and it is a real one.

Circular Warehouse
Circular living under one roof, somewhere you can actually go.
Rescued and upcycled food, second-life fashion, shared logistics and climate education in one large building in Melbourne's north, working as a destination for shoppers and as shared infrastructure for the businesses and charities inside it.
The gap it is built against is convenience, not concern. Plenty of people would rather buy the rescued vegetables and the second-life jacket, and mostly do not, because it means a different shop for every part of it. Convenience is what the big retailers sell, and it is the thing worth competing on. The shorthand we use is a Bunnings for climate solutions, and it is meant fairly literally.
The order of the build is the interesting part. The same offer can run online long before anything is constructed, so it starts as local delivery in one catchment, adds circular fashion second, and only then becomes a building. If local demand does not show up online it was never going to show up in a warehouse, and that is much cheaper to find out from a delivery run than from a construction loan.
The fashion half has a clock on it. Second-hand clothing funds a great deal of what Australian charity shops do, and commercial resale platforms have taken much of that trade in the United Kingdom and Europe already. A shared channel the charities own together is worth building before that market arrives here rather than after.
